No matter how you slice it, a Disney vacation is one of the pricier family vacation ideas. The flights and hotels come with enough sticker shock on their own, but add to that park tickets, food, and souvenirs and you have the perfect recipe for a trip that costs more than a pretty penny.
Fortunately, there are always ways to save on your next Disney vacation if you know where to look. Disney recently announced several promotions that can bring the overall cost of your vacation down in 2024, from discounts on hotels to savings on children’s tickets at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

New Family Ticket Deals at Disney World and Disneyland
If you were considering taking the family to a Disney park in 2024 (and there are lots of good reasons to do it), these new ticket and package deals may be just the sweetener you need to go ahead and book the trip. And if you’re traveling with young kids, there are some brand-new deals announced by Disney that you’ll definitely want to know about!
At Walt Disney World, children’s theme park tickets and Disney dining plans will be 50 percent off when you purchase a non-discounted four-night, four-day Walt Disney World Travel Co. package that includes a Disney World hotel room, theme park tickets, and a dining plan. This deal kicks off on November 14, 2023, and is valid for stays most nights between March 3 and June 30, 2024.

Over on the West Coast, Disneyland Resort is also preparing to launch a new ticket deal specifically aimed at families traveling with young kids. Starting October 24, you can purchase children’s tickets for as low as $50 per child per day with a special kids’ ticket offer. These tickets will be available as one-, two-, or three-day park tickets with upgrades available, including Park Hopper and Genie+ services. These tickets will be valid between January 8 and March 10, 2024, with no blackout dates.
More information on these deals can be found on Disney’s website. Keep in mind that Disney considers a child to be between the ages of three and nine. Kids ages 10 and above are considered adults in the eyes of Disney, at least when it comes to ticket prices and dining plans.
Save Up To 30 Percent on Disney World Hotel Accommodations in Early 2024
The hotel is often the biggest line item of any Walt Disney World vacation budget. The good news is that there is always some deal to be had, often through Disney. Saving on your hotel room can leave wiggle room for a longer vacation, more flexible travel dates, or even an extra pair or two of Minnie ears.

If you were considering a trip to Disney World in early 2024, now is the time to book. Disney is offering up to 30 percent savings on hotel accommodations when you book through December 15, 2023. Exact savings may vary, however. How much you save depends on which hotel you book. In general, this sort of deal will yield lower savings when you book a Value hotel versus a Deluxe hotel. So, while you’ll still save regardless of your hotel choice, you stand to save more if you upgrade your hotel (though, of course, you’ll still pay a higher per-night rate, so you will definitely want to crunch the numbers).
The dates of your trip will also impact how much you save. Be sure to read over the fine print on Disney World’s website before booking. In general, you can save up to 25 percent on stays, mostly Sunday through Thursday nights, from January 9 through February 22, 2024. Savings can go as high as 30 percent on stays most nights from February 25 through March 24. Again, you must book by December 15 to take advantage of these savings.
Disney World Introduces Water Park Seasonal Pass
With this last offer, Disney hopes to incentivize more visitors to check out the Disney water parks in Orlando multiple times throughout the year. Walt Disney World is home to two water parks: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. In anticipation of the water parks’ off-season due to (relatively) cooler winter temperatures, Disney World is selling a new Water Parks Seasonal Pass, currently available for purchase.

The pass, which sells for $79 per person plus tax, allows you to visit the water parks as often as you would like now through May 24, 2024. That $79 price point is lower than the Water Park and Sports optional add-on for Annual Passholders, which costs $99 for the year plus tax.
If you were considering adding the Water Park and Sports package but are only interested in the water parks, this new seasonal pass could be a good alternative to save you a little bit of cash. Note that the Seasonal Pass grants you access to whichever park is currently open; the two water parks tend to operate opposite each other throughout the year as of late, with one open and the other closed at a time.
