Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure has unique spaces and incredible entertainment. But one area onboard that truly has it all is the Haunted Mansion Parlor. Imagine riding the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World or Disneyland. Now imagine being asked to join the swinging wake at the end of the attraction. You’ve left your doom buggy behind and you get to see all of the bells and whistles of the ride, plus be immersed in the story of the Haunted Mansion in an all-new way. That’s exactly what’s happening in this bar on the Disney Treasure.
During a recent sailing on the Disney Treasure, I went inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor, to see everything it had to offer. From drinks and souvenir cups to a murder mystery, plus some fun facts straight from Walt Disney Imagineering, it’s one place you don’t want to miss onboard. So if you’re planning a cruise on the Disney Treasure, or the Disney Destiny which will also have a Haunted Mansion Parlor, keep reading to learn how you can get your Death Certificate and more inside this spooky space.
Location of the Haunted Mansion Parlor
The new lounge is located where Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge is on the Treasure’s sister ship, the Disney Wish. When you’re in the Grand Hall on deck three of the Disney Treasure, head left towards the walkway near Scat Cat Lounge. Just after the entrance to the boisterous piano bar, you’ll see the ominous first look of the Haunted Mansion Parlor. If you get to the Walt Disney Theater, you’ve gone too far.

The bar is quite small, and there’s only one way in and one way out. Once you’re inside you’re going to want to find a seat at the bar or one of the clustered seating areas and get ready because the show is always happening. Yes, the Haunted Mansion Parlor includes a fun show. You can see eight “chapters” of a story throughout your time in the bar.
Story of the Haunted Mansion Parlor
The lounge draws inspiration from the original Haunted Mansion attraction but with a distinct nautical twist. You’re invited to regions beyond to see the story of a sea captain and his fiancé. The story unfolds over 30 minutes or so, but try to set aside about 45 minutes to enjoy the lounge. Where you sit will also determine what you see. Since there’s so much to look at you may notice something new every time you walk in.
Details to look out for inside the ghostly cocktail lounge
Inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor, there are “wall-to-wall creeps” as they say on the attraction. Of course, the entire space has the iconic purple wallpaper from the Haunted Mansion rides at the theme parks. You’ll also spot the “Donald Duck chair” in a corner near the bar. And even better is that you can sit in the red armchair where the stitching resembles a beloved Disney duck. Next to the chair, you’ll also see a nod to the Hatbox Ghost from Walt Disney World and Disneyland’s version of the attraction.

If you can get a seat at the bar, you’re in luck because what looks like a mirror is actually a screen that showcases otherworldly beings…namely some of the 999 happy haunts that take up residence in the Haunted Mansion. The bar stools offer a great vantage point for the entire eight-chapter story that unfolds inside the bar. Be sure to watch out for everything from waltzing ghosts to Madame Leota floating along in her crystal ball as she says her famous seance.
Along the back wall and near the fireplace, there are hanging portraits that will come to life as the earworm, “Grim Grinning Ghosts” begins to play. I was lucky to sit near the Medusa portrait and got to see her come to life, which was utterly jaw-dropping.

In the middle of the room is a large aquarium, which has some interesting-looking ghost fish. If you get close enough, you’ll even see tiny headstones for each of the fish.
Best drinks to get from the Haunted Mansion Parlor
If you’re looking to get a drink to go with the spine-tingling chills that run through the hallway and lounge space of the Haunted Mansion Parlor, then you’re in for a treat. The drinks menu at the bar is quite varied and there’s even a secret menu to try to find. Even better is all of the drinks come with cute Haunted Mansion-themed coasters that you can take home.
The menu showcases six signature cocktails, two of which (the Final Boy and the Last Catch) are served in a souvenir cup. I loved the Happily Never After, which combined vodka, Chambord, lemon, apple, and black cherry into a delightful after-dinner drink. I also enjoyed the zero-proof Sympathetic Libations, which was a fun twist on a margarita with lime salt air foam and sour cherry flavors.

Non-alcoholic options include a few different sodas, known as “potions,” which had sparkly edible glitter running through each drink. The soda flavors included cream soda, blue grape, and lemonade. Sodas can also be served in a Hatbox Ghost sipper cup that you can bring home.
Then there’s the secret menu, which is accessed on one of the screen-based menus lying around the bar. After you decode the message a new menu page is revealed. The menu only features one drink experience meant for two people, called The Spirits Have Been Released. The experience comes with one gin and soda-based cocktail and one whiskey and lemonade-based cocktail. The drinks are served on a gargoyle glass holder, but you do not get to keep the unique presentation device.

Pro-tip: Try to get into the bar between the two dinner times onboard. I had great luck walking into the bar and getting good seats just before the second dinner seating.
